#2 – Be a local expert in your local language

Type or speak your questions and answers into the app, just like talking to a neighbour. When you speak, Google’s powerful speech recognition can understand your question and answer in 1 of 9 languages: Marathi, Hindi, English, Gujarati, Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, Bengali.

#3 – Keep up with your neighbourhood

See what your neighbours are asking about, follow questions that interest you and get updated whenever there’s new information.

#4 – Neighbourly is committed to your safety

Browse, ask and answer questions without sharing your contact information. Personal details like your phone number, full name, and other contact information are completely private.

#5 – Every neighbour makes the Neighbourly Promise

Everyone that uses the app makes the Neighbourly Promise to respect each other, ask neighbourly questions and report inappropriate posts. The promise helps to set the tone in the app.

#6 – Become a Top Neighbour in your neighbourhood

Show your knowledge, help your neighbours and earn points and badges. If you’re especially helpful, you may earn the Top Neighbour badge and join an exclusive community.

#7 – Your Neighbourly neighbourhood is your home

Neighbourly uses your device location to find your neighbourhood the first time you open the app, and then you’re all set. You’ll always see and post content to your neighbourhood.

#8 – An app that’s light on your phone and works offline

The app is less than 7MB so it’s small, fast, and works offline. If you’re disconnected, you can keep asking and answering and everything will automatically send once you reconnect.

#9 – Works on all Android phones running 4.3 (Jelly Bean) and higher

The app is on the Google Play Store. There is not an iPhone app at this time.

 

#10 – Now available in Mumbai, coming soon to your neighbourhood

If you live outside of Mumbai, you can download the app, join the waitlist, and invite your neighbours. The more people who join the waitlist, the faster Neighbourly will launch in your neighbourhood.
